How to identify pure cotton fabrics:
1. Hand feel
Touch the fabric with your hand to feel its feel. The pure cotton fabric without adding any fibers or adding a small number of chemical fibers is soft and not smooth to the touch.
2. Surface gloss
There is no light on the surface of pure cotton fabric, you can look at the light to see if there is any reflection.
3. Folds
Grasp the fabric with your hands, and after loosening it, observe whether there are a lot of wrinkles on the surface of the fabric. Cotton is easy to wrinkle, so you can also try this method.
4. Burn
Remove a small piece from the cotton cloth and ignite the cloth with fire. After the cotton cloth is burned, it will continue to burn until it turns to ashes.
5. Decolorization
Cotton cloth is usually made by the method of direct disperse dye, and it will lose color more or less after washing with water.
6. Tear the cotton cloth
The fiber of cotton cloth is relatively rough. Cut a small opening in the fabric, tear the fabric, carefully observe and listen to the sound when tearing the fabric, and see how hard it is to tear. Cotton is usually not easy to tear, and the sound is not heard. As smooth as a lot of chemical fibers.
7. No static electricity
Most synthetic fiber fabrics are prone to static electricity, and pure cotton fabrics are processed from natural materials, so there is basically no static electricity.
